Born in 1905 in Cairo And he died in 1999 . He joined the Egyptian School of Fine Arts in 1922 and graduated in 1926 .He won the first prize over sixty applicants for a scholarship in France in 1929, where he studied graphics, photography and decorative arts. He obtained a Diploma in Graphics in 1932 from the Ecole de Estienne of Printing in Paris .He joined the 'High School of Arts and Decoration' in Paris and obtained a diploma in 1933 .He studied oil painting at the Higher Fine Arts in Paris at the hands of the artist 'Fogira' and completed his studies there in 1933 as well. He was a student of the artists Kamal Amin, Ahmed Maher Raef - Abdel Halim Al-Borgini, Hussein Al-Jabali, Ahmed Nawar, Awad Al-Shimy and others. The first Egyptian artist to head the graphic department at the Faculty of Fine Arts - Cairo in 1934. He managed the Fine Arts Studio in Luxor from 1954 to 1960. He worked as a painter in Egyptian newspapers and magazines, including Al-Shabab magazine, Masamarat Al-Jib magazine, Al-Shaab newspaper and many other magazines. solo exhibitions : Held several exhibitions in Cairo. Lugano exhibition in Switzerland. Special exhibitions in Germany. He held a comprehensive exhibition of his works in Paris in 1948. The Ministry of Culture and National Guidance, the Department of Fine Arts, held a huge comprehensive exhibition for him under the name `Works from the Environment during forty years in 1965. Making drawings in Chinese ink for the minarets of Cairo in a special book printed by the Ministry of Culture. International group exhibitions/external exhibitions He began his artistic activity by participating in the Paris Salon 1932-1933. Participated in the 1938 Venice Biennale - São Paulo Biennale. The Fifth Alexandria Biennale for the Mediterranean Countries, 1963. Scholarships and grants He traveled on a mission to Paris for four years, 1929-1933, in which he studied the art of oil painting at the hands of Professor Fougerat, graphic art and decoration art. Technical tasks assigned to him and general contributions The Ministry of Awqaf asked him to draw and compose 'Egypt's mosques and minarets', which was printed in two volumes. The Ministry of Public Education asked him to draw oil-colored paintings for the Museum of Civilization located on the island, including the Fatimid Celebration `Department of Fine Arts` Paul of the Sixth Hijri Year, Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi in the Holy House, the Battle of Mansoura and the Victory of the Egyptian Army, the Celebration of the Procession of the Mahmal in the Pilgrimage Procession, and a painting Barrages of water extending from the mouth of the Gulf to the castle of the mountain. The Egyptian Ministry of Culture commissioned him to create a huge oil painting to put it in Sayed Darwish Theater in El Haram in the early seventies.Publications and cultural activities He made the covers and interior drawings for (Al-Resala) magazine for Professor Youssef Al-Sibai and (Ali Baba) magazine.
